From the time I was small, I was always happiest with a crayon in my hand. My love of art has continued throughout my life, even while life necessities took me through a couple of decades working in the banking and insurance industries. When life twisted again in the summer of 2017, I decided to take the leap and make the creation of art my full time vocation.
A self taught painter, working primarily in acrylic on canvas, I strive to create a mood or sense of place with my paintings, through the use of bold colour and sweeping brush strokes, accented by crisp lines and tiny dots. An offhanded comment by my husband, led me to create a line of Wearable Art for men and women.
Wearable Art is a cross between Fine Art and Jewelry. They are tiny, original watercolour paintings on paper, , which are then set under glass within hypoallergenic settings. We carry pendants, rings, brooches, earrings, lapel pins, golf ball markers, book marks, key chains, and money clips.
Designs are inspired by all areas of life, in a desire to reflect the unique people that wear them. I take pride in creating items for men, women and children to have and cherish, while making fine art accessible for everyone to have as a part of their day to day lives.
I welcome suggestions on what you would like to see in Wearable Art. Feel free to send ideas to firstname.lastname@example.org, and come back often to check out new work!
