Curriculum Vitae of Kim Clark
PROFILE
Kim Clark is an abstract and representational artist that lives and works in Brantford, ON from her home studio. She works primarily in acrylic on wood panel and strives to create work that creates a tranquil, calm place for the viewer to rest their eyes and deepen their breath. This comes from a place within her that feels the world around us is overwhelming, demanding and just too much. Through paint, Kim filters all that stimuli and focuses on a single image that brings her peace and joy, in the hopes that it will do the same for those who gaze upon it.
EDUCATION
Largely self taught, with some continuing education arts courses and workshops taken from 2000 to present through Sheridan College, Dundas Valley School of Art, and Glenhyrst Art Gallery.
From February 2021 to July 2021, I worked with artist mentor, Veronica Funk, through the Levelling Up program (now known as Mastrius). I resumed mentorship with her in October 2022 to present.
From February 2022 to present, I have learned from Master Artist Lori Siebert through Mastrius.
